Title: Art Therapy in Early Treatment: A Neuroscience Perspective
Patricia Quinn is an American board certified and licensed art therapist and trauma therapist who has worked in the field of mental health, addiction and prevention for 38 years. Credentialed in addiction, she supervised in- and out-patient treatment programs with individuals, children and families impacted by substance disorders. She’s taught graduate and undergraduate students in art therapy since 1994, and published about the use of art therapy to treat addiction. She has served for the past twelve years on the committees and boards of several large mental health agencies in New York State providing services to people with mental health, intellectual and developmental needs. She is a former president of the Orange County Mental Health Association. She served as the Chair of the Historical Archives & Memorial Committee for the American Art Therapy Association and as National Delegate and Governmental Affairs Chair of the NY Art Therapy Association
