Mental Health and Addiction

Mental health is a psychological state of someone who is functioning at a suitable level of emotional and behavioral modification. Peoples with depression or other mental health issues are specially exposed against alcohol and drug use. Similarly, several people who are addicted to drugs are also diagnosed with other mental disorders, including anxiety and depression.

Addiction is a brain disorder that is revealed by compulsive substance use despite harmful consequences. Despite the involvement of a number of psychosocial factors, one is a biological process which is induced by repeated exposure to an addictive stimulus is the core pathology that drives the development and maintenance of an addiction.
